weekend love: a new initiative

Here's a little something we did this weekend. I've been working on a new initiative to focus on feeding my family and especially my toddler much healthier. We LOVE treats. Way. too. much. So I've been cataloging some ideas here, and I was inspired by this pin which includes 23 healthy snack ideas. Snacks are the hardest I think, because we always seem to turn to the un-healthy ones. I loved this frozen banana idea, and it was super fun for us to do together!
 

 We pulled out a bunch of ingredients we had in our pantry, and then we got messy. Sometimes you just gotta let a boy make a mess.

We finished up with some pretty boss creations using low fat vanilla yogurt, granola, cocoa puffs and peanut butter cap'n crunch, (for a sweet fix of course) peanut butter, and graham cracker crumbs. Yogurt & graham cracker crumbs was my personal fave.


And we did it all while sweet sister dozed away.

Yum! I use to make chocolate covered ones with my family before I had kids but haven't made this with them...I like the healthy spin on it!
