weekend love: a new initiative

Here's a little something we did this weekend. I've been working on a new initiative to focus on feeding my family and especially my toddler much healthier. We LOVE treats. Way. too. much. So I've been cataloging some ideas here, and I was inspired by this pin which includes 23 healthy snack ideas. Snacks are the hardest I think, because we always seem to turn to the un-healthy ones. I loved this frozen banana idea, and it was super fun for us to do together!

We pulled out a bunch of ingredients we had in our pantry, and then we got messy. Sometimes you just gotta let a boy make a mess.

We finished up with some pretty boss creations using low fat vanilla yogurt, granola, cocoa puffs and peanut butter cap'n crunch, (for a sweet fix of course) peanut butter, and graham cracker crumbs. Yogurt & graham cracker crumbs was my personal fave.

And we did it all while sweet sister dozed away.

Hey Sarah! Thanks for the awesome frozen banana idea, I'm excited to experiment with toppings! Also, I was interested to see your catalogue of ideas but I think the link is broken, I would love to see them! Cheers!
