Weekend love: getting closer

Here are some highlights from my weekend that was all about getting ready for little miss to arrive. The doctor says he thinks I'll be pretty close to my due date, which means about 20 days to go. As tired and uncomfortable as I am, I just don't feel quite ready yet. I feel an insatiable need for everything to be in its perfect place, and especially for a spotless home. Regardless of my nesting desires, I'm really excited to welcome this little girl home. I can't wait to see what she looks like. I can't wait to smell her. Rock her. Kiss her.
Baby shower with some good friends

The sweet bassinet that my friend Shay has lent me. (Thrifted pillows)
 Oh that Dreft laundry smell.
a few bows I've been crafting. can you ever have enough?

I must say how thankful I am for such good family and friends and for all their help.

Also, if you get the chance, please pray for the Hanson family. My dear cousin who I really love and respect is mourning with her family the loss of their son and brother.

Stop looking so hot in that fringe! Also, I love your bows! You CANNOT have enough! Though I would like leave the same one on Gigi's head for a week at a time...that corn syrup works GREAT!

Adorable bows. I just got a new niece a couple weeks ago so I need to make some of these! :)
thinking of your cousin's family, and keeping them in my prayers. Losing a child is something that no parent should ever have to go through.

So sorry to hear about your cousins' son Sarah.
Love the bows..guess I really need to have another girl now to sport some felt bows on her little peterson bald head.

I too mourn with you and with Kristin. I went to high school with Kristin and she was a good friend of my family and lived in our ward which meant we attended many activities together. She too (like Gabe) is one of the funniest people I know. I remember sitting in our home and just laughing at all of the funny things that came out of her mouth. I adored her. I wish seeing her tonight was under different circumstances. I too mentioned her on my blog hoping to ease their pain a bit through prayers from friends and strangers.
