I really debated whether I should spend the money on a "newborn" shoot. Generally, I feel like investing in good pictures is a completely worth while investment, but I wondered if the pictures we took of our new baby at home would be sufficient. I am SO glad I decided to do it. These are pictures I will cherish forever of my 2 sweet babes, and the darling newborn features of my precious little girl. If you are in Utah, and you favor modern photography, you need to consider Jen Herem. She's a total gem. She's incredibly patient, which I find refreshing and essential for capturing pictures of babies and kids, and she has great style. Her images are like those in catalogs. She brings classy props and she does house calls!! She's just an all around lovely person too.
My husband is a good man. He was sure to entertain E for the near 3 hour shoot.
Thank you all so much for your advice and kindness. I'm happy to report that my E is getting much more used to having a sister, and sharing the attention. It helps a whole heap to involve him in any process that involves his sister (which is actually advice from my mom. My parent's are smart right?) Getting diapers, picking clothes, putting bows on, he helps with it all. He's such a champ. Once in a while he still asks us to "put sister down" but it's usually warranted. We've been out once now, the three of us, and I was only an hour late and forgot wipes. Not bad eh?
Pictures taken in my humble home. More to come...
