RFF: pregnant in platforms

Top: $8 via NPS. I really liked the tribal print and the belly room. Jeans: $12 F21 Belt: Thrifted $1 DI@Centerville it's amazing how a belt helps you keep your shape a shape during pregnancy. Shoes: Vintage. $21 via Decades SLC

Can we talk about these shoes for a minute? They might be my most favorite pair of shoes I have ever owned. Though, I debate every time I wear them whether a pregnant woman should be wearing shoes of this sort. In fact, one of my co-workers politely asked me that very question. I answered no, yet I still wear them every now and again. To my credit, I purchased them several months before a sign of new life was present. It was one of those occasions when I saw them in the store, tried them on and loved them, and walked out without them. Luckily for me, 2 weeks later they were still available. I guess no one else lost sleep over them like I did. Kidding. Kind of. Now that my balance is shifting quite everly away from what it was before, I should probably store them away until a loss of balance would only affect me rather than me and she. It seems that last pregnancy I wore less heeled shoes and more flat shoes. This time I'm feeling a little more gutsy I guess. There's just something about wearing heels that makes you feel a whole lot more fabulous. Do you wear heels while pregnant?

Can we talk about him for a minute? This is my view of the little stink from outside my dirty, hard water stained, sliding door. Sometimes we play games that involve sticking our faces on the window and making "piggy noses" which are curiously the most hilarious thing in the world to a near 2 year old toddler. My favorite thing is when he gives me a kiss from the other side of the glass. I am one lucky mama to have this little boy living under my same roof, sharing my covers, riding along as company in my car, sharing my ice cream, and sharing time in my life. The fact is, he makes me forget about mine and think about yours, his, and ours. He helps me become less about me and more about we, and that is really who I want to be.

Oh Sarah, he is too cute. If your doors didn't have fingerprints and nose smudges all over them, I would be worried. Those kind of "decorative details" make a house a home. Um heck yes I wore heels (stilletos none the less) while I was prego, and raced around my office like a champ in them! It was around 8 months that I started to seriously slow down and couldn't run up the flight of stairs to my office 10+ times a day in them and decided to go barefoot. Best freaking day of my life. They couldn't put a pair of shoes on me after that if they tried. Life changing, I tell ya :)

first--you look adorable. dang you.

second--how does a pair of F21 jeans fit during pregnancy?

third--wear whatever dang shoe you want during pregnancy as long as you are comfortable w/ it (i mean, who knows your limitations better than you?)

He is absolutely precious! And you look absolutely gorgeous! Heels while pregnant (not every day, but on the days you want to feel like a hot mama), are a necessity! I had a pair of nude studded heels that I LOVED to wear while preggo.

I wore heels all through my pregnancies. My doctor did say something to my in my 8th month, but I had worn them that long so why stop then? LOL I never feel or felt unstable so I figured go for it.

Your E is such a dollbaby.

I wore my beloved stilettos all the way through both my pregnancies. There is nothing wrong with it as long as you are okay balance wise and it's not too uncomfortable for you!

I love those shoes! And E is so adorable!

i totally agree about the belt. i find myself wearing a belt almost daily. it makes me still feel feminine while at time i would otherwise resemble a whale haha. and i love coming across mom's who feel like i do about motherhood. it's my life too and i wouldn't change that dirty door for the world.

My thoughts on heels in pregnancy. If you feel in control while you wear them, then why shouldn't you? I was wearing heels regularly until almost my 8th month. Now I am not wearing them because I think I'll topple but because my feet seem to swell more when I wear them. So, rock your shoes as long as you feel comfortable!

Love your top, BTW

I totally wore high heels when I was prego. I didn't if I was going to be walking around a lot. But I haven't worn flats to church one time since I was in high school. So, yes even at 40 weeks pregnant, I wore heels.

Here is a pic of me at 35 weeks in a pair of my favorite heels. They are about 3.5" or so. http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/vv147/iamhoots/6_n.jpg

I totally wore heels when I was pregnant. But I only wore them to church (since that's really the only place I ever wear heels) and I was g down most of the time. Also, my feet don't swell and I could still fit into the heels.

Yours are adorable!

I always wear heels while pregnant, but sturdy stuff like the ones in this post...no spiky stilettos!
