RFF: Uniform Chic

This day I sort of felt like I was wearing my all girl's school uniform. I love experimenting with fashions and trends. I don't claim to know anything about it, or have any experience. It's mostly just enjoyable for me. I love the post Kendi recently did about breaking fashion rules, and how there are no fashion rules. Elaine spoke similarly, and she tweeted an article about Topshop style that I found totally interesting. Fashion to me is about trying out new things, and wearing what I want to wear. Who cares if I look like I'm wearing a school uniform. I kind of liked it.

P.S. No one told me I looked this way. It was my own observation. Although, not long ago I wore a leggings and drapey shirt combination and was told at least twice I looked like Peter Pan.

Dress: Handmade. Thrifted, $4
Top: Express
Socks: HUE, $3 auction retailer
Shoes: Mossimo, Thrifted, $4

I had read all three posts/links you noted and have to agree. Wear what you want!! You always look great, though, Sar!

You DO look like your wearing a school girl uniform but it looks so cute! Kind of like Britney Spears but turned up a (classy) notch!

I think this is super cute, but I agree with the other comments - you always look beautiful! I read those other posts and I think fashion rules are silly... let's wear what we want! :)

I love the dress! Rats that it was handmade so I can't go and get one of my own! I love the pairing with socks and the shoes. You look fabulous! (and I love that we are both cosmetologists)

I think it looks really cute! Not that I know anything about fashion... but still, it counts for something right?
