Princess Party Decor Elements

I'm a little off this week, but I'd like to share pictures from a Princess party my SIL and I put together. The pictures are taken again by the lovely Jessica of Life Done Properly. Initially we hoped this party would be held outside, but due to windy conditions we opted to keep it in doors.
I really wanted this party to have a classy and fairytale like feel, so I created these storybook style princess hats from heavy cardstock and fabric. The floral fabric which was some of my favorite, is a vintage sheet from the thrift store.

Princess wands I made as favors for each girl out of fabric yo-yos.
View of the overall table set up.We purchased closet doors from the thrift store and used them as a back drop. The picture frames hanging have pages from vintage Disney princess storybooks, which is one of my favorite elements.

I thought the cakes turned out so very lovely.  Fresh flowers are are perfect touch for a princess.

I made the cake stands by spraying some candle holders and plates from the thrift store candy pink and gluing them together. I also found the little boxes at the thrift store and covered the tops with fabric for a hat box sort of feel.

Special hat for the birthday girl.

Layered table cloths are both from the thrift store. The top layer is a Martha Stewart bed sheet, and the lace layer is a bed skirt.

Oh to be 5 again!

I've been searching long & hard for the perfect colored cake stand with no luck. Silly me...why didn't I just think to 'custom' make them. I have old candle holders that will work perfect. So sweet & cute...just like my Sarah Jane!

I'll be stealing (or borrowing) that idea to make cake stands! Cute, cheap, and easy: my fav crafty trio!

This was adorable and incredibly classy! Thanks for sharing :)

This is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. I stumbled across your blog a month or so ago and then lost it and was so sad, but I just found it again! Yay! I'm so happy.
