My little Tea Pots

I'm loving tea pots right now. There's just something very quaint about them. My friend had a darling dish towel. (who says doing the dishes can't be glamorous?) Since I love giving hand made gifts, I decided to make her a matching tea pot for her birthday. I bought a $2 tea pot from the thrift store and sprayed it cherry red. I cut the flowers from scrapbook paper and modge podged them to the pot.

This is the tea pot in my kitchen. Bought as is from the thrift store.

And this is the one I recently made. Also from the thrift store. I sprayed it a cheery yellow, added the monogram, and also vinyl botanical vines.

I love it! Teapots are so fun... the red one, with the matching dish towel is adorable.

Suddenly I have this very intense desire to have a teapot!

They're just adorable!!

My only question would be - Can you still use them without ruining the design? And did you use food-safe paint? :-)

Very cute, Sarah. The funny thing is, I don't think I have ever used a tea pot before.
