When I was working in a salon I used to have wives come in with their husbands and literally stand behind me making sure I cut it the way they wanted. I always thought it was pretty overbearing.
Next my baby needed a trim. I debated over whether there is something morally wrong with cutting your 7 month old's baby locks. It seems like I always see 1 or 2 year old baby boys with hair over their ears and down their neck. Is it because trimming their hair so young is taboo? After debating it for a short while I decided that there's nothing wrong with a little clean up if I have the ability to do so. Also, I think the hair over his ears was starting to bother him.
Lastly, our poor Mighty: I was beginning to feel guilty of animal cruelty based on the length of his coat. He could barely even navigate his way around. Beyond using my skills to benefit the members of my family, I have also taken on the role of groomer. I'm not sure if I like the idea or not, but regardless, grooming is expensive! These days it seems like convenience takes a back seat to conservation. I use dog designated clippers and I start by clipping the fur on his body pretty short. I don't pay much attention to the way the breed is supposed to be cut, I just do it the way I want it. It's the ears that are tough. He hates it when I go anywhere near his ears, and it's tough to get them short.
This is the very best picture I could get of the after. Mighty also hates getting his picture taken. He's not photogenic.
Now I just need to find time to color my hair. It's a tough job keeping these boys lookin handsome!
