A gift for Travis

So I have this shoe thing...I just can't resist purchasing shoes. I really envy my sister who hates going through the shoe isle and gets completely bored shopping for shoes. It seems like I am drawn to shoes of every style and color. Whenever I buy a new pair of shoes my husband's response is usually the same: "Don't you already have a pair that look just like that?" I have to convince him that it is not uncommon to have a similar style in a different color or a peep toe heel and a closed toe heel in the same color. As for those of you who may wonder how I support my habit; I'm a really good bargain shopper, and I have even found some really cute just like new shoes at the DI. Ever since we moved to our new house our closet has been overtaken with my shoe collection. Travis has been asking me for months to go through and get rid of some of them. He would love it if I got rid of 1 pair every time I bought a new pair. I just have a hard time letting go. Some of them I don't really wear but I just like to know they are there in case I ever needed to wear them. This weekend I finally got rid of a whopping 4 pairs of shoes. This included my favorite pair of neutral pumps that I had to get rid of because the heel was broken. As you can tell from the picture they were pretty hammered. I know I'm taking a risk in creating an image of myself as a "material girl". I really do find myself so blessed to have a roof over my head and shoes on my feet.

You are so funny, Sarah! You do always have the cutest shoes on the block, that's for sure.

i too have many fetishes... one of which includes shoes. my poor sweet husband cannot even share the master walk-in closet as it is overtaken with my stuff.
props to you for getting rid of stuff! i wish i were as strong... maybe someday when they fall apart or don't fit. :)

I am a poor chooser of shoes. My best friend growing up was a great chooser. So I would always just get one of whatever she was getting and I always liked my shoes.

Sarah,
My name is Kim Moore. We are friends with Josh and Cali- my husband works with him this summer and played baseball with him at UVSC. I wanted to spread the word that my husband and I are going to Wells Fargo Bank today to start a baby Mac memorial fund to try and help with the cost of burial. I thought maybe you could spread the word at your work? You can contact me at kimoore24@gmail.com. I will have more details after we go down today as to how people can donate. If you could email me that way I have your email address and we could correspond that way it would be great. Thanks for all your help- all I can think about right now is helping Josh and Cali!

Sar, I feel for you. Ty is always asking me to get rid of some shoes. He says if I buy a new pair, I need to get rid of an old pair. He doesn't like my taste in shoes and would probably throw half of them out. I just don't feel that you should wear a shoe until the bottom of your foot is sticking out like he does. I've been begging him to buy new shoes forever now! The other day, the entire top part of my shoe came off of the soul, and I was like "well, time for some new shoes!", but resourcful Tyler got some wood glue and glued my shoe back together. I would love to go shopping with you sometime so you can help me find some bargains!
